Ukrposhta processes 26,000 primary documents with 99.5% accuracy using an AI agent by IT-Enterprise

Ukrposhta and Ukrainian product IT company IT-Enterprise are scaling a joint project to implement artificial intelligence for processing primary documents.
In the first months of 2026, the AI agent has already processed over 26,000 documents, taking over the entire scope of routine verification and data entry within this process. This has reduced the error rate to 0.5% and accelerated financial period closing. The accuracy of AI-powered document processing has reached 99.5%.
For Ukrposhta, this solution addresses the challenge of handling large volumes of incoming documentation, which previously required significant manual effort. According to the company, the time spent on processing routine documents has decreased by 60–80%. Within the team, the AI assistant has been given a name — Marko — referencing the postal stamp (“marka”) and also being one of the most popular modern names in Ukraine.
“Previously, the finance team manually processed hundreds of supplier documents, which created peak workloads during closing periods. Today, the system automatically reconciles data against contracts and specifications, while specialists focus primarily on documents with discrepancies. This provides not only time savings but also a higher level of control and process transparency,” said Dmytro Didyk, Director of Procurement at Ukrposhta.
The biggest challenge in the project was not text recognition, but the diversity of document formats. Suppliers submit documents in hundreds of variations — with different wording, structures, and levels of detail. Even the same service may be described differently, such as “household waste disposal” or “garbage removal.” Therefore, the AI agent does not simply extract data but verifies it against contracts and specifications, checks compliance with terms, and escalates only documents with discrepancies for additional review.
At the same time, Ukrposhta adapted its internal procedures to the new approach to avoid duplication and ensure proper interaction between primary documents, contracts, and the ERP system by IT-Enterprise.
“The Ukrposhta project demonstrates that Ukrainian AI solutions are already capable of handling large volumes of documents in mission-critical business processes. For large enterprises, this is primarily an opportunity to relieve teams from routine workload, reduce errors, and accelerate operational decision-making,” commented Oleg Shcherbatenko, CEO of IT-Enterprise.
For Ukrposhta, this case has become a clear example of how AI can function not as an experiment, but as a practical tool in everyday financial operations — delivering measurable impact in speed, accuracy, and team workload.
IT-Enterprise continues to expand its AI ecosystem. During the IT-Enterprise Version 2026 presentation, the company announced the development of 81 new AI solutions. Today, its technologies are used by companies such as WOG, YASNO, Epicentr, and the Come Back Alive Foundation.
