One Warehouse Is No Longer a Strategy: IT-Enterprise Introduces a Platform with a Digital Twin and AI for Decentralized Logistics Management

At the Ukrainian CFO Forum, Ukrainian technology company IT-Enterprise presented its enhanced Warehouse Management System (WMS), designed for businesses that are moving away from a single large warehouse and distributing inventory across multiple smaller facilities throughout the country, partly in response to wartime risks.

A decentralized warehouse network helps protect inventory, but without a unified management system, it can create operational complexity. Businesses risk losing visibility, misplacing goods and tying up millions of hryvnias in excess stock. IT-Enterprise’s enhanced WMS brings all company warehouses together into one transparent, centrally managed system.

Key capabilities of the new system:

  • Interactive 3D warehouse visualization: Managers can view an accurate, real-time 3D model — a digital twin of the warehouse — showing available storage locations, inventory placement and employee activity.

  • AI-powered warehouse management: The system automatically determines the optimal storage location for incoming goods, helping prevent congestion in aisles, and calculates efficient routes for warehouse equipment.

  • Paperless operations with fewer errors: Warehouse staff use a simple mobile app on a tablet or data collection terminal. The system guides them through each task, specifying the rack and storage location and verifying goods through barcode scanning.

  • End-to-end inventory tracking: The system tracks goods throughout the entire process — from in-transit status and quality inspection to put-away, storage and shipment to the customer.

Key business results:

  • Up to 3x higher order-processing throughput, without hiring additional staff or leasing more warehouse space.

  • Order picking time reduced to as little as 5 minutes.

  • Fewer human errors and penalties during order picking.

  • Working capital freed up by reducing excess inventory held across multiple warehouses.

The solution also connects logistics operations with financial management. Data from thousands of daily warehouse transactions can be used to generate management P&L reports, consolidated financial statements and automated SAF-T UA reporting for tax authorities.

“Decentralization helps protect physical inventory, while our system protects the working capital tied up in stock, freeing up business liquidity in an environment of high uncertainty. A warehouse is no longer just a place to store boxes — it is an instrument of financial resilience. IT-Enterprise WMS takes care of complex logistics processes and gives managers full visibility and control over both goods and cash. We designed the WMS platform not merely as software for warehouse staff, but as a fully fledged control centre for CFOs,” said Viacheslav Starostin, Chief Operating Officer of MASTER, speaking at the forum.

As previously reported, in 2025 IT-Enterprise delivered a project to create digital twins for 23 NIBULON elevator facilities based on the IT-Enterprise ERP platform. The project helped minimize grain losses and significantly improve operational transparency. It is one of the first examples of large-scale digital twin deployment across Ukraine's grain elevator infrastructure.
