Digital Resilience in the Agribusiness Sector: UA Tech School IT-Enterprise Students Explore the Case of Agribusiness Leader NIBULON

On 10 March 2026, as part of the third module of the national educational project UA Tech School IT-Enterprise, a company visit was held to NIBULON, one of Ukraine’s leading grain exporters and agricultural producers. Students of the practical school had a unique opportunity to see how digital twins and data manage large-scale business processes in real time.
During the meeting, Mykola Riasko, CIO of NIBULON and a speaker at UA Tech School IT-Enterprise, shared the company’s experience of adapting digital technologies to modern challenges. One of the key cases discussed was the implementation of a project to create digital twins for 23 NIBULON grain elevator complexes based on the IT-Enterprise ERP platform. According to the company, the project helped minimise grain losses and significantly improve operational transparency. This case represents one of the first large-scale implementations of digital twins within Ukraine’s grain storage infrastructure.
“Today, digital transformation is a strategic value and a matter of business efficiency and flexibility, especially in wartime. The challenges we face every day require immediate decisions based on accurate data, where every second, tonne and hryvnia matters. That is why we are focused on the systematic development and transformation of our digital ecosystem together with the Ukrainian company IT-Enterprise. These changes enable us to remain resilient even in the most difficult circumstances,” said Mykola Riasko, CIO of NIBULON.
For the students, the visit became a moment when Industry 4.0 theory turned into real business cases.
“This was an extremely valuable and important practical experience. You can read theory online or watch it on YouTube. But here we visited a real company and heard the story of a business that has faced the severe consequences of war, yet has endured and continues to grow dynamically. My key takeaway is that with modern Industry 4.0 digital tools, a clear vision and well-communicated values, it is possible to develop any business even in such challenging circumstances,” shared Mykola Sorokolit, a UA Tech School IT-Enterprise student from Ternopil.
Alla Hurova, Director of UA Tech School IT-Enterprise, emphasised the strategic importance of involving industry practitioners of this level in educating young professionals.
“The mission of UA Tech School IT-Enterprise is not only to provide knowledge but also to shape a new generation of managers capable of leading digital transformation. The expertise of those who are already transforming the market today is critically important. Direct dialogue between students and top managers of major companies helps future professionals begin to see business not as system users, but as architects of systems capable of ensuring national resilience,” she added.
As previously reported, IT-Enterprise, a national leader in digital transformation solutions for business and the public sector, launched the first practical course focused on digitalising the real sector of the economy — UA Tech School IT-Enterprise.
Today, 50 students from across Ukraine are learning how to build smart enterprises, mastering data-driven management principles and working with AI assistants. The first three modules have already taken place, where participants explored why companies need digital transformation, how to build a vision and a transformation roadmap, and observed the implementation of a digital strategy through real-life cases during the company visit to NIBULON.
The programme continues with upcoming modules featuring leading experts from the IT industry and the public sector, including the IT Ukraine Association, Diia.City Union, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, as well as work on their own projects aimed at solving real business challenges.
