Artificial Intelligence in the Agri-Food Industry: IT-Enterprise Showcases Digital Transformation Solutions at Industry Forum

IT-Enterprise participated in AgriFood Digital & Automation Matchmaking 2026, a specialized event for agribusiness and food industry professionals organized by EDIH Kyiv HiTech in partnership with the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance, APPAU, and U-Food. During the event, the company's experts presented practical AI and automation use cases for one of Ukraine's key economic sectors. The central message of the presentation was clear: artificial intelligence is already a reality for Ukrainian businesses, but its success depends on a company's level of digital maturity. AI delivers value only when built on reliable, structured, and verified business data.

IT-Enterprise experts emphasized that one of the biggest barriers to innovation remains the chaotic adoption of AI technologies on top of fragmented and unstructured data—following the well-known principle of "garbage in, garbage out." To avoid costly mistakes, companies should adopt a three-stage digital transformation model.

Three Principles for Successful AI Adoption

1. Digital Foundation (ERP). Build a reliable digital environment for accounting, reporting, production planning, and business process management.

2. Business Process Optimization. Standardize and optimize existing workflows before introducing artificial intelligence.

3. AI Agents. Deploy AI as an intelligent layer operating exclusively on trusted, structured, and verified enterprise data.

Experts also advised companies to avoid chasing the newest experimental AI models and instead focus on stable, production-ready technologies while starting their AI journey with small pilot projects that deliver measurable business value.

Practical AI Applications for the Agri-Food Industry

During the forum, IT-Enterprise demonstrated real-world AI use cases across several mission-critical business areas.

  • Engineering and Production Preparation. An AI engineering assistant automates the creation of manufacturing processes, recipes, and technical documentation by searching through millions of engineering files and corporate documents. This significantly accelerates product development and helps manufacturers overcome the shortage of qualified engineering personnel.
  • Advanced Production Planning (APS/MES). IT-Enterprise showcased its APS and MES solutions powered by optimization algorithms refined over more than 35 years. The system enables instant production rescheduling in response to raw material shortages, equipment downtime, or changing production priorities, helping manufacturers maintain operational continuity.
  • Predictive Equipment Maintenance. For industries where unplanned downtime leads to substantial financial losses—such as sugar production—IT-Enterprise presented its Smart EAM platform together with the Anna Maly AI Agent. The solution continuously analyzes sensor data in real time, processing millions of parameters beyond human capability to detect anomalies early and prevent equipment failures before they occur.
  • Workforce Training and Knowledge Management. AI-powered assistants also address one of the industry's most pressing challenges—the shortage of qualified personnel. Intelligent search across multilingual technical documentation, interactive knowledge support, and automated onboarding significantly reduce employee training time while preserving critical corporate expertise.

"Today, business priorities have changed dramatically. Instead of asking about ERP implementation costs, customers first want to know what AI capabilities a solution offers. Yet one of the biggest obstacles to innovation remains the widespread reliance on Excel spreadsheets to manage complex business processes. Artificial intelligence will not replace people—but people who use AI will certainly replace those who don't," said Roman Yavorskyi, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at IT-Enterprise.

He also noted that small and medium-sized agri-food businesses looking to accelerate their digital transformation can leverage the MASTER product line from IT-Enterprise. These solutions enable companies to automate core business processes quickly while building a scalable digital foundation for future AI adoption without requiring significant capital investment.

Today, IT-Enterprise enjoys a high level of trust within the Food & Agri sector. Its solutions are used by 76% of companies included in the Forbes Top 202 ranking of Ukraine's food industry, while the company's portfolio includes more than 1,400 successful digital transformation projects.

Every month, IT-Enterprise customers generate more than 225,000 AI requests, leveraging approximately 45 active AI agents across their operations. Overall, the company's digital solutions support the daily work of around 1.2 million professionals, helping organizations improve efficiency, accelerate decision-making, and drive innovation through data and artificial intelligence.
