From Garage Production to Systematic Contracts: IT-Enterprise and UADUT Hold Webinar for MilTech Companies
Ukrainian IT company IT-Enterprise, together with the Ukrainian Association of Defense and Dual-Use Technologies (UADUT), held a practical online webinar, “We Won a Major Contract: How to Scale Production Quickly Without Missing Delivery Deadlines.” The event was held as part of a partnership memorandum focused on strengthening Ukraine’s defense industry through technology. Ukrainian MilTech and dual-use companies received practical tools for automating production, enabling them to increase output by up to 30% using existing production capacity while improving their ability to deliver defense contracts on time.
During the webinar, experts examined the key barriers manufacturers face when moving from small-batch production to systematic scaling. The most common challenges include informal planning, dependence on individual employees, manual data entry, and a lack of real-time visibility into shop-floor operations. According to the experts, these factors increase the risk of component shortages, missed delivery deadlines, and financial losses.
The implementation of modern management methodologies and ERP systems can help address these challenges by automating the end-to-end process — from receiving an order to shipping the finished product.
“Today, Ukraine’s MilTech sector operates at an extremely high pace and under stringent requirements. Scaling production simply by expanding the workforce or purchasing new equipment often takes too much time and money. IT-Enterprise’s practical experience implementing ERP systems at more than 50 Ukrainian defense companies shows that the greatest growth potential lies in optimizing and automating internal processes. Digitalization helps eliminate downtime, ensure accurate cost control, and increase production volumes by up to 30% using the same production capacity,” said Roman Yavorskyi, Commercial Director at IT-Enterprise.
During the practical session, Taras Kakhnii, Head of DefTech Projects, demonstrated the capabilities of the IT-Enterprise ERP system, including tools for assessing the feasibility of fulfilling a contract before it is signed, advanced production planning using APS, and electronic control of bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
The speakers also focused on the readiness of Ukrainian developers and manufacturers to work with major customers and international investors.

Implementing professional automation tools enables defense companies to turn engineering potential into sustainable industrial capacity and confidently enter global markets,” emphasized Denys Sviatokum, Head of the Ukrainian Association of Defense and Dual-Use Technologies.
Based on real MilTech cases, participants were presented with economic results achieved after automation, including a 10% reduction in equipment downtime, 98% accuracy in meeting confirmed delivery dates, and a twofold reduction in the time required to bring new products to market.
IT-Enterprise and UADUT experts emphasized that companies need to transform their management processes now, as production transparency and controllability are becoming critical factors in successfully fulfilling defense orders. The joint series of educational and consulting events for defense manufacturers will continue in response to requests from Ukrainian MilTech and dual-use companies.
