AI Moves from Experimentation to an Operational Business Model — Oleg Shcherbatenko at the Forum ‘Seizing the AI Moment: Between Disruption and Hope’

The Franco-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the IT Ukraine Association and French Tech Kyiv, hosted the first Artificial Intelligence Forum “Seizing the AI Moment: Between Disruption and Hope.” As part of the event, a practical workshop “Mastering AI in Everyday Work” took place, focusing on real AI applications in business workflows and actionable management insights.

The keynote speaker, Oleh Shcherbatenko, CEO of IT-Enterprise and AI expert, emphasized that artificial intelligence has already become a part of the operational model of companies that think strategically.

“AI is not about automation for the sake of automation. It is about a company’s ability to make more accurate decisions and operate at the level of prediction rather than reaction. Businesses that integrate AI systematically do not just improve efficiency — they shift to a new level of management maturity,” said Oleh Shcherbatenko, Founder and CEO of IT-Enterprise.

Today, AI demonstrates the highest impact in Ukrainian business cases in areas such as HR analytics, customer service, supply chain management, and financial forecasting. However, Shcherbatenko underlined that artificial intelligence cannot replace human responsibility and strategic thinking.

During the event, speakers outlined the most common mistakes companies make when implementing AI — from the lack of a clear business goal to underestimating the team’s role in transformation. They stressed that successful AI scaling is only possible with a prepared organizational culture and competent data management.

Representatives of UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, Naftogaz of Ukraine, and Ipsos also took part in the discussion, sharing practical cases and research on the impact of AI on brand communication and customer experience.

Participants of the Forum agreed that artificial intelligence is no longer just a trend — it is becoming an infrastructure-level technology for a new type of business.
